LaVonne McCall

LaVonne “Bonnie” McCall, 80, of Platteville, died on Friday, December 2, 2016 at Epione Pavilion in Cuba City.  A private family graveside service will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery in Streator, Illinois. 

Bonnie was born on October 2, 1936, the daughter of Leon and Dorothy (Crew) Grubb.  She was united in marriage to Robert McCall on June 17, 1958 in Streator, Illinois.  He preceded her in death on February 2, 2011.  Bonnie worked at Advance Transformer for 19 years, until their closing, in their payroll department.  She then went to work for Foodliner in Dubuque as their Maintenance Scheduler, until her retirement.  In retirement she would spend time at Gray's Nursing Home as a Hospice volunteer.  Bonnie is survived by her son, Thomas (Christine) McCall of Platteville; granddaughter, Heather; three grandsons, Andrew, Nickolas, and Derek McCall; great-grandson, Austin; and brother, Leon Grubb.  She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Robert.
