Nancy Fidler

Nancy K. Fidler, 75, of Platteville, died on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Southwest Health Center Hospital, Platteville.  Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday December 16, 2016 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville.  Pastor Paul Glendenning will officiate.  Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Platteville.  Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to the Nancy K. Nancy was born on October 3, 1941 in Platteville, Wisconsin, daughter of Nathan and Mildred “Millie” Seemeyer.  She was united in marriage to Larry D. Fidler on October 8, 1960 in Platteville.  He preceded her in death on June 9, 2004. 

While in school Nancy worked at the orchards in Gays Mills, Wisconsin.  She worked at Burgess Battery Factory, Platteville.  She went back to school and became a CAN and worked at Parkview Terrace (Manor Care) for many years and then at Advance Transformer, Platteville.  She enjoyed doing many things throughout her life, reading, sewing, crocheting, watching the Packers, NASCAR and WWE the outdoors where she fished, camped and hunted.  For many years she worked at many carnivals.  Over the past years Nancy enjoyed her three companion dogs, Nicki, Pepper and Candy.

Nancy is survived by four daughters, Vienna (Thomas) Wackershauser, Karla Fidler, Cheryl Jamieson and Stacie Fidler all of Platteville; 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Melody (Tim Koeller) Seemeyer of Platteville; and great-nephews, Ryan and TJ Koeller.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry, son Timothy Fidler in 2002, parents, step-father, Donovan Faith and brother, Larry Seemeyer.
