Doris Anne Reese, 77, of Belmont, Wisconsin, died on Sunday, December 25, 2016 at Bloomfield Manor, Dodgeville.  Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 30, 2016 at the Peace Lutheran Church, Belmont.  Rev. Connie Matye will officiate.  Burial will be at the Belmont Cemetery at a later date.  Friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the church or after 10:00 a.m. Friday at the church.  Memorials may be made to the Doris Anne Reese Memorial Fund.  The Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville, is serving the family.  Online condolences can be made at www.melbyfh.com.

Doris Anne was born on June 12, 1939 in Belmont, Wisconsin, daughter of William W.E. and Anna (Helms) Nodolf.  She was united in marriage to Glenn D. Reese on August 24, 1957 at the Peace Lutheran Church, Belmont.  He preceded her in death on July 8, 2016.  She was a cook at Carl's Café, Muscoda, and at the Manhattan Club, Boscobel.  Doris Anne later went to work at Land's End for twenty years until she retired.  She was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church.  She enjoyed playing cards, knitting, camping and attending draft horse shows with Glenn for many years. 

She is survived by her three children, John (Deb) Reese of Elizabeth, IL; Julie Reese and Jeff (Carrie) Reese all of Barneveld, WI; five grandchildren, Noelle, Bennett, Parker, Lauren, and Sophie.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn, parents, and brother, Billy Dean Nodolf.

Sorry to hear the passing of your mother. I grew up next door to her and had a nice breakfast with her in September on my trip to Wisconsin. I will always remember her and her parents from growing up in Belmont.

Dear Reese Family, We are so sorry to hear of the loss of your Mother Doris. She such a kind and giving woman. Mom and Dad always enjoyed their time when visiting with both of the them.
