Luella “Lou” Vosberg, 80, of Livingston, died on Sunday January 1, 2017 at Manor Care Health Services, Platteville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 9, 2017 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Platteville. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Platteville. Friends may call from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Sunday January 8, 2017 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville, where there will be a parish rosary at 1:45 p.m. Friends may also call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Monday at the church. Lou was born on June 21, 1936 in Paris Township, Grant County, the daughter of John and Eleanora (Conter) Flogel. She was united in marriage to Leonard G. Vosberg on June 5, 1956 at St. Mary's in Platteville. He preceded her in death on September 13, 2010. Leonard and Lou farmed together for most of their lives. Lou also worked as a florist at Dick's, Jerry's Flowers, and Erschen's Florist, as well as, doing wedding flowers for family and friends out of her house. She was involved in many things within the community, such as, Grant County Board, Clifton Township Board, Grand County Fair Board, Tourism Council, LCIC in Livingston, Grant County Homemakers, and was a 4-H Leader for over 40 years. Lou also judged photography at many local fairs and did paperwork for many local tractor pulls. One of the most special things about Lou, though, was her laugh; it was a laugh that everybody knew and loved.
Lou is survived by her son, David (Ann) Vosberg of Livingston; three grandchildren, Michelle (Casey) Pickel, Jeremy (Nicci) Vosberg, and Tim Vosberg; five great-grandchildren, Mason, Ainsley, Callie, Blake, and Braxton; sister, Ruth (Rick Owen) Roling; brothers, Jack Flogel, Roy Flogel, Bob (Lorraine) Flogel, and Henry (Delores) Flogel; sister-in-law, Grace Flogel; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jeanette Wallenhorst, Mary Henry, Jean (Ken) Nodolf, Joe (Rose) Vosberg, and Anna Vosberg; as well as, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Leonard; sisters, Charlotte Miller, Olive Wiederholt, Celeste Wissing, and Rosemary Gassman; and brother, Frances Flogel.
