Beverly was born on April 11, 1932 in Platteville, Wisconsin, daughter of Harold and Mildred (Leppla) Tracy.  She was united in marriage to Water T. Hannan on June 8, 1952 at the Whig United Methodist Church, Platteville.  He preceded her in death on June 27, 2016 shortly after celebrating their 64th wedding anniversary.

Bev graduated from Platteville High School.  She worked at UW-Platteville for over 18 years,  where she was secretary for the Civil Engineering Department.  She greatly affected many students positively over the years and always had coffee for anyone who wanted it.  Throughout her life she enjoyed sitting down and playing the piano. She and Walter enjoyed many summers on the Mississippi River fishing.  She enjoyed her time at the casino in Dubuque, and was an avid Packers fan, where she took her last breath as Crosby kicked the game winning field goal against the Dallas Cowboys this past Sunday.  Beverly was very proud of her Irish heritage.

She is survived by her three children, Kerry Hannan of Livingston; LeAnne Hannan of Madison; Kelly (Mary) Hannan of Bonfield, IL; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Shirley Nodorft-Ward of Platteville; one brother, Jack (Rita) Tracy of Dickeyville, WI.  She was preceded in death by her husband, twin infant daughters, her parents, brothers, Richard and Kenneth Tracy and sister, Marion Pitzen.

When Bev's office was in Ottensman, I'd drop by and tell her an occasional joke (a dry one); She'd groan, then as soon as I turned the corner, she'd go tell somebody else on the wing!
