Obituary

Jean Pinch, 80, of Platteville, formerly of Rewey, Wisconsin, died on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Manor Care, Platteville. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 30, 2017 at St. Augustine's Catholic Church, Platteville. Rev. Jon Del Priore will officiate. Burial will be at the Mifflin Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the mass at the church. Memorials may be made to the Jean Pinch Memorial Fund. Jean was born on January 20, 1937 in Darlington, Wisconsin, daughter of Frank Patrick and Marie Gertrude (Schwartz) Fox. She was united in marriage to Francis E. Pinch on April 28, 1956 in Shullsburg, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death on June 21, 2007. Jean graduated from Shullsburg High School and attended beauty school in Milwaukee. She and Francis farmed in Mifflin Township, Iowa County for many years. She was a cook and later became a teacher's aide at Iowa Grant School where she worked until she retired. She enjoyed painting, baking, cooking and had a great love of animals.

Jean is survived by her four children, Mark (Cindy) Pinch of Livingston, WI; Tom (JoAnn) Pinch of Highland, WI; Patricia (John) Schuepbach of Marshall, WI; Tammy (Rod Waelti) Pinch of New Glarus, WI; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Jerry) Spurley, Justin Pinch, Lindsay Pinch, Jason (Kim) Schuepbach and John Schuepbach; four great-grandchildren, Jeremiah, Kaida, Marcus and Makayla; sister-in-law, Sharon Fox of Sun Prairie, WI; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, Patricia in infancy and two brothers, Ray and Ron Fox.
