Dolores McKillip

Sincere condolences to the family. Dolores was a long time friend and neighbor to my mother, Lillian C. Abing who lived on Virgin Avenue. Over the years my mother and her shared good times going to church dinners and visiting friends. Now these two ladies can catch up on the news on what's happening at St. Marys Church and in their old neighborhood.

Dolores was a beloved friend and neighbor to us during the 12 years that we lived in Platteville. My boys grew up calling her Grandma Dee as she was their local grandmother. Dolores always welcomed our boys to her house, letting them see all her things and slipping quarters to them. At Orchard Manor, they enjoyed pushing Dolores through the hallways, looking at the birds, and playing songs on the piano. Dolores delighted us with many stories of growing up and tending her bar. We were blessed to help Dolores reunite with her son, Tom, and his wife, Patsy. We hated to move from Dolores when we left Platteville. She is in our hearts forever. Thank you to Elaine and Orchard Manor for their ceaseless care of our Grandma Dee.
