Scott was born on October 29, 1968 at St. Mary's Hospital, Madison, son of John and Jean (Lampman) Jones.  He graduated from Mount Horeb High School in 1987.  He was united in marriage to Tina Risberg on June 30, 1990 in Platteville.

Scott and Tina bought a farm and farmed in Mount Horeb from 1989 – 1994.  In 1994 they bought a farm and farmed in Lancaster, Wisconsin, on Pigeon Lane.  While they were farming he went to work for Joe Friederick's family farm part time for a couple of years.  Then he worked for CFN and Reddy AG.  In 2003 he worked as an Energy Marketer for various fuel companies.  In 2007 Scott and Tina went into business for themselves where they sold off land to purchase their first fuel truck and started Allegiant Oil.  Their small venture starting in their home quickly grew at rate that in 2008 they purchased the Rewey Gas station for their business to grow.   In 2012 they built their main office and a bulk plant in Lancaster.  They currently have locations in Lancaster, Platteville and Rewey.  Scott and Tina together enjoyed photography, woodworking, going antiquing and Scott really enjoyed playing basketball, especially with his kids.   Scott always enjoyed his family trips to Wyoming with Tina and their family that they went on every year.  Scott enjoyed spending time with his wife and kids and did things together on a weekly basis.  Scott couldn't get farming out of his blood and continued to farm part time on the side with his son Joe.  He always enjoyed having his grandson over and spoiling him with love and toys.  Sawyer will greatly miss his "Bampa".  He will be greatly missed by family and friends and especially by his wife and best friend Tina.

Scott is survived by his wife, Tina; three children, Ashley (Nathan) Kieler of Belmont; Joseph “Joe” Jones of Platteville; Jayson (girlfriend Kelsey Achenbach) of Iowa City, IA; grandson, Sawyer Paul Kieler; mother, Jean (Doug Anderson) Lampman-Jones of Spring Hill, FL; father, John (Sandy Schober) Jones of Barneveld, WI; sister, Lisa (Brian) Eckel of Cottage Grove, WI; brother-in-law, Scott Zebell of Onalaska, WI.  He is further survived by Tina's parents, George (Jean) Risberg of Hatley, WI; Janice McReynolds-Risberg of Platteville; brother-in-law, George (Megan) Risberg of Middleton, WI; sister-in-law, Katrina Nelson of Nashville, TN; half brother-in-law, Rob Mathie of York, PA; many nieces and nephews; and God-mother Cathy Lampman Hawkins.  Scott was preceded in death by his sister, Jodie Zebell; grandparents, Darlene and Wayne Lampman; William and Mildred Jones; Uncles Joe and Jan Lampman, and was also very close with Tina's grandparents, Paul and Lela McReynolds from Platteville.

Scott, was such a wonderful person: loving husband, father and grandfather and a great son-in-law. He was a terrific businessman, community leader, school board member and an inspiration to so many of us. We will miss him dearly. We always thoroughly enjoyed our times together whether on the farm, at the lake cottage or at our home, or the 4th of July parade in Cody or the Beartooth Mountains of Wyoming. He will always be in our hearts.
