Obituary

Joyce E. Tracy, 89, of Belmont, Wisconsin, died on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Southwest Health Center, Platteville.  Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 13, 2017 at the Peace Lutheran Church, Belmont.  Rev. Connie Matye will officiate.  Burial will be at the Belmont Cemetery.  Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the Peace Lutheran Church, Belmont.  The Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville, is serving the family.  Memorials may be made to the Joyce E. Joyce was born on September 4, 1927 in Belmont daughter of William and Margaret (Speth) Engelke.  She was united in marriage to Thomas C. “Tom” Tracy on June 21, 1945 at Peace Lutheran Church, Belmont.  She worked for over 30 years as a CNA at the Platteville Hospital after retirement she did in home care for many years.  She was a member of the Lutheran Church of Peace.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Tom; four children, Steve (Nancy) Tracy, Judy Ferrin, “Cub” (Shay) Tracy, and Jeff Tracy; eleven grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Jeanne Engelke and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her son, Scott, parents, brothers, Paul, Cal, Wilbur, Erv, Merlyn “Gov” Engelke, sisters, Freida Kamps, Margaret Moody, Agnes Engelke and Ilene Roddick.
