Obituary

Kyle R. Bartell, 60, of Potosi, passed peacefully on Friday, May 5, 2017 at his home.  Visitation will be held from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville.  Memorials may be made to the Kyle R. Kyle was born on April 11, 1957 in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Richard and Charlotte (Schultz) Bartell.  He was united in marriage to Kelly Dailey and most recently, Lisa (Huehne) Bartell on June 14, 2014 at the Belmont United Methodist Church.  Kyle worked at Land's End in the Maintenance Department for 25 years and most recently at Walnut Hollow in Dodgeville doing woodwork.  Music was a very large part of Kyle's life; he played county music and classic rock on the bass guitar for 50 years.  He traveled on the road for seven years with a local band; opening for Conway Twitty, Hank Williams Jr., and David Allen Coe.  Kyle also enjoyed spending time with family, either fishing, having a bonfire, watching football, or cooking out. 

Kyle is survived by his wife, Lisa; fourteen children, Kyle Roth, Shawn Roth, Kolten (Haley) Bartell, Kyler Bartell, Kimirae (Brett) Gregory, Karsyn Bartell, Kurtyth Bartell, Bridgette (Cole) Young, Allison Linneman, Tanner Linneman, Trenten Linneman, Brady Linneman, Wesley Bartell, and Charlotte Bartell; four grandchildren, Braedon Young, Isabelle Young, Kendall Bartell, and Brynlee Gregory; five brothers, Roger (Jenny) Bartell, John “Barney” Bartell, Russell Bartell, Jay Bartell, and Scott (Cindy) Bartell; father and mother-in-law, Ronald and Dorothy Huehne.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Kyle was a great person I have know him for many years,enjoyed going to see him playing in the bands,loved his music very talented,Kyle will be sadly missed.My thoughts and prayers go out to the family at this time of sorrow
