Michael J. “Mike” Digman, 53, of Platteville, died on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at his home. A time of sharing and remembrance will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 15, 2017 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until the time of remembrance on Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Michael J. “Mike” Digman Memorial Fund. Mike was born on March 13, 1964 in Cuba City, Wisconsin, the son of Arnold J. and Carol “Katie” (Heim) Digman. Mike graduated from Platteville High School in 1982. As a youth, Mike showed horses with his parents. Mike worked at Roh's Auto Mart and Scott Implement before starting his own business, Digman Truck and Auto, which he operated for many years. He was a man that could fix anything that had a motor, no matter how big or small. Mike enjoyed truck pulling, antique tractor pulling, and snowmobiling. He was a member of local snowmobile clubs, truck pulling clubs, and antique tractor clubs. People will remember Mike for his kind heart and gentle soul.
Mike is survived by his life partner of 27 years, Dee Dunbar of Platteville; daughter, Heather (James) Newman of Prairie du Sac, WI; grandchildren, Adeline and Oliver Newman; brother, Matthew (Karen) Digman of Appleton, WI; nephew and niece, Max and Kate Digman; mother, Carol “Katie” Jones of Pearland, TX; step-mom, Kristine Digman of Dubuque, IA; and aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and his dad, Arnold, in 2016.
