Nancy Carns

Nancy's obituary appears online where I check in libraries in Peoria daily and I was so so saddened to read of her passing. Nancy and I had gone back to grade school, then PHS, then first driver's ed class at PHS where she'd pick me up with Wanda Williams daily....she was a wonderful, faithful friend through all of school and I remember when she graduated from UWP in three years....she was so ambitious; her late sister Pat was in Michael's class...her late father was our electrician when I was growing up. Because of commitments in Peoria, I cannot attend her visitation to pay my respect but please know that my thoughts and prayers are with all of you....yes they were together at PHS...she was also in Franklin Livewires 4-H Club when we joined about the same time... Bob, all of us at PHS 1076 loved Nancy and you and extend our heartfelt friendship, thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. I will let brother Michael know of Nancy's passing...God Bless all of you at this time of profound loss. Hello Bob, My sincere condolences to you and your family. I enjoyed Nancy's friendship in H. S. Even when we were tired of sitting in a boring class and they dismissed a certain group to leave (that we were NOT a part of), I looked at Nancy and we walked out with them....then outside the room we didn't know what to do!!!!!!!! I also enjoyed my conversation with her at the recent class reunion but my heart was so saddened realizing she was not the Nancy I had known. Little did I realize what an accomplished person she was. She will be greatly missed. Marcia (Knappmiller) Kendall lives in Florida but is visiting her daughter and family for a few weeks this summer in WI. She is coming to visit us in Eagle River any day soon now. She came last summer and it was so much fun. She greatly misses her husband Jim, who passed away in 2014 of cancer, a result of the Agent Orange My sincerest sympathies to you and the family Jan Jewel

My sympathy to Bob and the family. Nancy was my classmates throughout elementary, Jr.high and high school. I remember her quiet grace and friendliness.
