Dale Sander, 91, of Platteville, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Monday, August 14, 2017, at Epione Pavilion in Cuba City.  A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date.  The Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville, is serving the family.  Online condolences may be made at www.melbyfh.com.

Dale was born on March 5, 1926 to John and Minnie (Roettiger) Sander.  He was united in marriage to Betty Taylor on March 27, 1949.  She preceded him in death in 2015.  Dale is survived by nine children, Connie (Robert) Striffolino, Kent (Mary Ann) Sander, Steve (Debra) Sander, Sherry (Dusty) Pothour, LeAnn (Rich) Hoffmann, Lelan (Joan) Sander, Aron (Sheral) Sander, Avonne (Chuck) Bonin, and Lori (Steve) Gehrke; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Ruth Joos-Linzy and Arlene Buchanan; and brothers, Orlan and Wesley.
