Carolyn E. Coogan, 91, of Platteville, formerly of Kenosha, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2017 at Southwest Health Center, Platteville. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:00 a.m. Monday, August 28, 2017 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Platteville. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Platteville. Carolyn was born on August 8, 1926 in Platteville, the daughter of John and Laura (Pitts) Steinbach. Carolyn grew up in Platteville then moved to Rockford, Illinois, and then to Kenosha, Wisconsin where she worked as an assistant in a law firm for many years. She eventually moved back to Platteville where she then retired. Carolyn had a great sense of humor and was always very supportive of her family.
Carolyn is survived by her son, Richard (Beth) Hyser of Roswell, GA; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one brother, Arnold (Bev) Steinbach of Platteville. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Gordon and Milton Steinbach.
