Obituary
Karen A. Carter Jackson, 55, of Owasso, Oklahoma, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital, Tulsa, OK. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the Platteville Free Methodist Church. Friends may call from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service. Karen was born on January 31, 1962 to Robert and Carol Carter. She graduated from Belmont High School in 1980 and went on to Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK to pursue a degree in nursing. Karen graduated with a B.S. in nursing in April 1984. She was united in marriage to David Jackson on May 5, 1984. They ended up making their home in the Tulsa metro area. Karen worked as and RN at St. Francis until her retirement in March 2017. She courageously fought cancer for 8 years. Her faith in Christ was her strength and testimony.
Karen is survived by her husband of 33 years, David; three sons, Kenneth (Katherine), Kristopher (Sonni), and Keith (Myrinda); two grandsons, Karter and Ellis; her mother, Carol Carter; and sister, Sharon Carter. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert.
