James “Jim” V. Donahoe, 66, of Belmont, died on Thursday November 23, 2017 at Southwest Health Center, Platteville. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. On Monday, November 27, 2017 at St. Philomena Catholic Church, Belmont. Father Jim Leeser will officiate. Burial will be at a later date. Friends may call from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Memorials may be made to the James “Jim” Donahoe Memorial Fund. Jim was born on January 1, 1951 in Belmont at the Floss Martin Maternity house, the son of Vincent and Iva (Riechers) Donahoe. He was united in marriage to Connie Buss on April 8, 1972 in Truman, Wisconsin. Jim farmed for most of his life, in 1972 he took over the family farm and farmed that until retiring in 1998. After retiring from farming he worked at Lactalis and Montchevre in Belmont. Jim enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing cards, reading, and back in the day, cattle roping. Jim is survived by his wife of 45 years, Connie; three children, Shannon (Rob) Runde, Shane (Valerie) Donahoe, and Justin (Maria) Donahoe; three grandchildren, Riley, Landon, and Cole Donahoe; ten siblings, Ron (Mary) Donahoe, Gary Donahoe, Mike (Becky) Donahoe, Diane (Frank) Lapacek, Judy (Davis) Traas, Barb (Pat) Raisbeck, Paul Donahoe, Lisa (Dave) Ihm, Lori Donahoe, and John (Vicky) Donahoe; two brother-in-law, Terry (Judy) Buss and Gary (Shirley) Buss; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, David Donahoe and Bruce Donahoe; and father and mother-in-law, Bob and Melva Buss.

So sorry to hear about 'Dunners" passing and your families loss. Many great memories from the DCC with him and others. Always had fun and had to learn how to gold better because he would't play a round of golf without a wager. Thinking of you all. Take care

Connie n family, My thoughts n prayers are with you all at this very sad time! I have a lot of good memories of Jim back a few yrs ago of lots of card playing...n recently seen him at the club when us ladies were playing cards! Always a friendly smile.. God Bless you all!
