Mark Brown

Mark T. Brown, 44, of Hazel Green, Wisconsin, formerly of Platteville died on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Southwest Health Center Hospital, Platteville. Private family memorial services will be held on Monday, December 18, 2017 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Deacon Bill Bussan will officiate. Mark was born on September 7, 1973 in Cuba City, Wisconsin, son of Terry and Carolyn (VanNatta) Brown. Mark graduated from Platteville High School where he participated in baseball, football and basketball. He started his culinary career at Country Kitchen, Platteville and worked at many restaurants throughout his years as a chef. He most recently worked at Shultzies in Dickeyville, Wisconsin. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, and seeing the Cubs win the 2016 world series was a dream come true, he also was a Chicago Bears and Wisconsin Badger fan.

Mark is survived by his parents, Carolyn and Richard Trewartha, Terry Brown; sister, Amanda Brown; brother, Tim (Angie) Brown; extended family, Jeff (Kathy) Trewartha, Toni (Dave) Izzard, Christine (Tom) McCall, Jamie (Tiffany) Trewartha and Eric (Brenda) Trewartha; grandmother, Dorothy Brown; grandfather, John (Carolyn) VanNatta; nieces, nephews, aunts uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Edmund Brown, grandmother, Joyce VanNatta, aunt, Lori Meuser and 2 uncles, Gary Brown and Mark VanNatta.
