Judy K. Hubbard, 61, of Platteville, died on Monday, January 22, 2018 at her home. Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Pastor Mary Ann Floerke will officiate. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Memorials may be made to the Judy K. Judy was born on January 8, 1957 in Lancaster, Wisconsin, daughter of Wilbur and Marie (Nehls) Martin. Judy was united in marriage to Doug Hubbard on September 21, 1979 at First English Lutheran Church, Platteville. In 1981 Judy started “Mother Hubbard's Family Daycare” which she enjoyed doing for over 35 years. She was a second mother to many children. Each and every child held a special place in her heart. She enjoyed bowling in her younger years with her girlfriends and getting her hair and nails done weekly. She and Doug are former members of the Southwest Wisconsin Auto Club where she enjoyed old car cruises. Judy truly loved spending time with her grandson, Brandt, who she called “Wee Man”.
Judy is survived by her husband, Doug; daughter, Melissa (Ben) DeWitt; grandson, Brandt; parents, Wilbur and Marie Martin; sister, Cathy (Kevin) Olson; brother, Greg (Donna) Martin; father and mother-in-law, Toby and Janice Hubbard; brothers-in-law, Mark Hubbard and Greg (Jill) Hubbard; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Brian “Hubby” Hubbard on September 17, 2015, grandparents, Clarence and Elizabeth Nehls and Ralph and Hazel Martin, uncle, Marcus Martin and dear friend, Deb Lyne.
