Obituary

Nettie Faye Tarver, 86, of Lancaster, WI, formerly of Cassville, WI, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018 at UW Hospital, Madison. Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 27, 2018 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, 1245 N. Water St., Platteville. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Cassville. The Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville is serving the family. Online condolences can be made at www.melbyfh.com.

Nettie was born on July 21, 1931 in Greenville, Texas, daughter of the late Ollie and Leita (Weeks) Deaton. She was united in marriage to James R. Tarver on June 5, 1954 in Houston, Texas. He preceded her in death on June 13, 2012.

She is survived by her children, Sandy Henry of Baytown, TX; Wes (Sharon) Tarver of Houston, TX; Vince (Tanya) Tarver of Cassville; Lynette (Danny) Courtney of Chugiak, AK; Curtis Tarver of Cassville; Dana (Harold) Eversole of Donna, TX; and many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

She served her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in much prayer. She was a loving, faithful, wife and mother and left her children a Godly heritage.

According to God's Word in 2nd Corinthians 4:17-18, Mother's light affliction, which was but for a moment, has worked for her a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.

She looked not at things seen, but at the things not seen: for the things seen are temporal, but the things not seen are eternal.

Our love and sympathy go to all of you! Dear sweet Sis Target was so kind and understanding! Sweet memories of her and my aunt Janie! Was sad to see them have to move from our area. She is in a better place and by God's grace mean to see her again one day.
