Andrew J. “Andy” Droessler, 52, of Potosi, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family, after a long and courageous fight with cancer. In honoring Andy's wishes there will be no public services. The Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville, is serving the family. Andy was born on November 28, 1965 in Lancaster, Wisconsin, the son of Joseph and Henrietta (Dresen) Droessler. He was united in marriage to Dawn Frommelt on October 19, 1996 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Tennyson, Wisconsin. Andy graduated from Potosi High School in 1984. He worked at Milprint in Lancaster for many years until his diagnosis in 2013. Andy was happiest when he could be outside enjoying nature, whether it be hunting, cutting wood, doing yard work or just hanging out. He was a true outdoors man. Andy was also a great family man who loved his family dearly. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle and friend who would drop everything to help out when asked.

Andy is survived by his wife, Dawn; two daughters, Destinie and Drew; three siblings, Tom (Mary) Droessler, Mary (Pat) Hawes, and Angie (Steve) Vogelsberg; brother-in-law, Joe (Kelli) Frommelt; sister-in-law, Luann Droessler; mothers and fathers-in-law, Karen (Gary) Mahr and Paul (Shirley) Frommelt; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Joe Droessler; and brother-in-law, DJ Heiligenthal.

What a great man Andy was. Our deepest sympathy to all of you. Dan especially treasures the Oktoberfest fun times and laughs when he talks about them. The event on Saturday was nothing short of amazing; a true testament to how many people care. May God bless you and lift you as you grieve.

Prayers to all of those who loved Andy to find the strength and peace you need. I was blessed to grow up with the Joe and Henrietta Droessler family as my neighbors. How very lucky was I.
