Mary was born on September 18, 1951 in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Erwin “Erv” and Dorothy (Myers) Byrne. Mary graduated from Belmont High School in 1969 and went on to attend and graduate from Madison Area Technical College. She worked for the Dept. of Health & Human Services, and then worked at the Department of Transportation for many years until retiring in 2008. Mary loved to do cross-stitch and made some beautiful pieces. She also was a big fan of Elvis Presley and enjoyed watching the Milwaukee Brewers and the Green Bay Packers. Greatest of all though, Mary enjoyed spending time with family and friends. What a beautiful difference one single life made for everyone that knew and loved Mary.
Mary is survived by her sister, Janet Byrne and brother, Thomas Byrne both of Belmont, Wisconsin; aunt, Jeanne Engelke; and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant twin sister, Marcia; grandparents; and several aunts and uncles.
