Obituary

Brandon J. Zart, 23, of Platteville, died from injuries from a one vehicle accident, on Wednesday, June 13, 2018. Friends may call from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Monday at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville, where there will be a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Rev. Connie Matye will officiate. Brandon was born on October 26, 1994 in Platteville, son of William “Bill” and Lynn (Fure) Zart. He attended Belmont and Platteville Schools. Brandon worked construction building grain bins and also worked as a cook. He enjoyed the outdoors, target shooting, fishing, going on road trips, and hanging out with his parents and the "crew."

He is survived by his mother, Lynn (Fure) Smith of Platteville; father, Bill Zart of Belmont; brothers, Ryan Bottomley and Eric (Valeri) Zart; sisters, Dana (Tom “Bud”) Thurston, Angie Brande, Christine Zart-Larson and Lisa Zart; special niece, Mara Thurston; grandmother, Donna Fure; aunts and uncles, Jeff Fure, Kris and Mary Fure, Rick and Lisa Fure, Gale Trewartha, and Larry and Sharon Zart and many cousins. He also is survived by his dog, Mila, Bill's companion, Scrappy, and Lisa York, his "second mom." He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul Fure and Walter and Norma Zart, and his aunt, Louise Heiligenthal.

So so sorry for your loss. There are no words except that he was always good to me and would give me hugs and always make me feel I was partly his grandma too. He was taken way too soon but know that he is with our Heavenly Father and Grandpa Fure!! Love and hugs!!
