Obituary

Sharon E. Speaker, 68, of Boscobel, Wisconsin, died on Friday, June 22, 2018 at her home in Boscobel. A celebration of life will be at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Burial will be at Linwood Cemetery, Dubuque. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Memorials may be made to Sharon E. Speaker Memorial Fund. Sharon was born on December 5, 1949 in Rockford, Illinois, daughter of Hugo A. and Beverly (Groom) Speaker. She graduated from Muldoon Catholic High School in Rockford. After graduating she worked for many years at Advance Transformer, Boscobel, and most recently at Nu-Pac Industries, Boscobel, where she worked in assembly. She enjoyed reading, flowers, and was very artistic. She loved children.

She is survived by her three sisters, Sandra Lindvall of Rockford, IL; Deborah Marcks-Hinricks of Pocotello, ID; and Peggy (Greg) Goltz of Oshkosh, WI; nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugo and Beverly Speaker and brother-in-law, William Lindvall.

So sorry I couldn't attend the services. My sincere condolences to the family! The thing I remember about Sharon was the twinkle in her eyes when she smiled! Reminded me of her grandfather, Leo Speaker. Rest in peace Sharon!
