Robert D. Chandler, 34, of Lancaster, Wisconsin, died on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. Funeral services will be at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Rev. Brenda Whitford will officiate. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service on Wednesday, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Robert Chandler Memorial Fund. Robert was born on January 3, 1984 in Dodgeville, Wisconsin, the son of Laurence “Larry” and Sherry (Bloom) Chandler. Robert attended high school at Iowa-Grant High School. Robert enjoyed spending time with his fiance, Samantha, his daughters, and the rest of his family. He also enjoyed hunting, racing, collecting farm toys and building his own toy barns, and his reptiles, which he had several as pets. Robert worked on numerous farms but most recently provided home care for the love of his life, Sam.
Robert is survived by his parents, Larry and Sherry Chandler; fiance, Samantha Meuer; two daughters, Madison Chandler and her mother, Dee Skattum, and McKenna Chandler; five siblings, Kristie (Steve) Shepherd, Dona Knight, John (Jodie) Chandler, Brooke Chandler, and Tasha “Stubby” (Bo) Bailey; sister-in-law, Jodi (Ryan) Henkels; father-in-law, Michael Meuer; his loving dog, Patches and his many other animals. Robert is further survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; brother, Gary; mother-in-law, Diana O'Neill; a niece, an aunt, and an uncle.
