I have worked at Monona as a dispatcher for the past 30 years and although I did not work directly with Bill because I worked nights, I will always remember him fondly. Condolences to Bill’s family.

With deepest sympathy and prayers to PHS friend Shar in her loss...I had met Bill through Whig Church and loved the country school house they lived in with their feline companions....I know Bill had health issues and hope he has peace now... I can't come to visitation as I need to return to Peoria prior to Sunday's storm but will be thinking of her and children during this time of grief. Respectfully, Carolyn Schuldt PHS1960 Concert/marching band with Shar (clarinet/cornet respectively)

My late father, Walter Kind, was a Village of Monona Chief of Police in the mid-1960's. Bill was a young detective there at that time. As a youngster, I recall on many occasions my father praising Bill's ability, knowledge and devotion to police work. Bill made Monona a better place to live. Our sympathies go out to Bill's family.

Bill had the Monona beat and I the blooing grove beat on a below zero night, many years ago. Coming north on Monona Drive, I saw a cat that was dead and frozen on my side the line. I opened the squad door and kicked it to the Monona side. Then called Bill to my find , when he called back. That was impossible as he had kicked it to my side. He was always a good partner. May he rest in peice.
