Obituary
Stephen C. Kopp, 76, of Potosi, formerly of Livingston, Wisconsin, passed away suddenly on Friday, December 14, 2018 at Southwest Health Center, Platteville. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Deacon Bill Bussan will officiate. Steve was born on April 27, 1942 in Lancaster, Wisconsin, the son of Norman and Modesta (Ertz) Kopp. He graduated from Platteville High School in 1960. He was united in marriage to Paula (Stoddart) on March 24, 1990 in Dodgeville, Wisconsin. Steve was a brick layer by trade and he retired from Kraemer Brothers, Plain, Wisconsin. Steve was an avid hunter and fisherman; he was very proud to have been able to go deer hunting this past season, for the first time in nine years, with his son-in-law, Justin and grandsons, Carter, and Cam. Steve also enjoyed his mornings at Alley Oops in Livingston playing cards.
Steve is survived by his wife, Paula; five children, Kelli (Tom) Weigel, Mitchell (Shelly) Kazda, Tracy (Justin) Spensley, and Dan and Jeff Kopp; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Dan (Charlene) Kopp, Tom (Connie) Kopp, and Joe (Kathy) Kopp; sisters, Mary Pothour, Rita (Dan) Steinbach, and Ann (Jim) Mueller. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Gene Pothour.
