Carol E. Chandler, 76, of Arthur, Wisconsin, died on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at St. Mary's Hospital, Madison. Graveside memorial services will be held at a later date at the Arthur Cemetery, Arthur, Wisconsin. Friends may call from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2019 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Memorials may be made to the Carol E. Chandler Memorial Fund. Carol was born on May 9, 1942 in Platteville, Wisconsin, daughter of Arthur and Hilda (Kopp) Chandler. She worked for CEECO in Lancaster for many years and then at Lands' End in Dodgeville, until her retirement. Carol was an avid reader and enjoyed doing word search puzzles.

She is survived by her brother, Michael Chandler; sister, Kathy (Vince) Keepers; sister-in-law, Kim Chandler; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Hilda Chandler; brother, Glenn Chandler; and sister, Donna Jensen.

Having just read of Carol's recent passing via Melby Obituaries, I want to extend my deep sympathy to her family and friends, classmates of PHS 1960. Carol was a lovely lady always friendly and smiling and I remember her very well. Not having attended recent reunions, I had not seen Carol for a while, but do know how much all of us thought of her....losing classmates is very hard no matter the time or age. Please accept my prayers and sympathy....I cannot attend due to weather and schedule in Peoria, but will be with all of you in spirit. Respectfully, Carolyn Schuldt PHS 1960

i was a co-worker of Carol's at Lands' End. Our friendship lasted after our employment there. We would have supper at Tower Junction every now and then and she would attend the Returns' Lands End reunions. At the last one she brought me a start to a Christmas cactus. May she rest in peace. My sympathy to her family and friends.
