Obituary

Heather A. Fishnick, 26, of Belmont, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2019 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May, 17, 2019 at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, Platteville. Rev. Zayna Thomley will officiate. Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery, Platteville. Friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville, or from 12:00 p.m. (Noon) until the time of service on Friday at the church. Memorials may be made to the Heather A. Fishnick Memorial Fund. Online condolences may be made at www.melbyfh.com.

Heather was born on February 12, 1993 in Lancaster, Wisconsin, the daughter of Alan W. Fishnick and Peggy Sue Robinson. Heather graduated from Platteville High School in 2011. During her school years she enjoyed playing basketball, volleyball, and softball. She graduated from Southwest Technical College in 2017 as a LPN. She worked as a CNA at Orchard Manor from 2011 – 2017, where she then took a position at SSM Health, Madison, where she worked until transferring to SSM Health in Dodgeville, Wisconsin. Heather enjoyed working out, and the doing anything outdoors, gardening, jeeping, boating, camping and hunting. She always loved a challenge.

She is survived by her parents, Peggy Sue (Joe Kruser) Robinson, Alan Fishnick; two sisters, Emily (Bryan) Langkamp and Makyla (Phil) Evanoff; five brothers, Michael (Kari) Fishnick, JD (Marlesha) Fishnick, Damien (Melissa) Brunton, Cole Peterson, Matthew Brunton; grandmothers, Bev Fishnick and Carolyn Kane; boyfriend, Zach Hastings, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Paul Fishnick, Herbert Robinson, grandparents, Cletus and Ileen Brunton, uncles, Dennis Fishnick and Bill Brunton.

Such a beautiful young lady, taken far to soon. I still remember Heather coming home from the hospital the day she was born, being next door neighbors. Our daughters being born within days of each other. Life is just so short, fly high you beautiful angel. My deepest sympathy to Heathers family and friends.

I'm extending my sympathies to you all. I knew Heather from helping to care for my mother at Orchard Manor. She was soo caring, thoughtful and respectful of my mom and our family as well.most recently talked with her at the clinic in Madison in February. We had a great visit and she seemed so happy and enjoying her life... She was special and I just wanted to let you know that... my sincere and deep sympathy.. rest peacefully sweet girl 💔😪🙏
