Lucille M. Long, 90, of Platteville, Wisconsin, died on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Our House Assisted Living, Platteville. Memorial services will be at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Rev. Naomi Garber will officiate. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Platteville. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Lucille was born on February 20, 1929 in Rewey, Wisconsin, daughter of Willard and Mildred (Lee) Bailey. She was united in marriage to Donald Long at Peace Lutheran Church, Belmont, in June 1949. He preceded her in death in 1983. Lucille worked at the Platteville Hospital. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed shopping, going out to eat and she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Richard (Carol) Long; two grandchildren, Nicole Long, and Bradley (Brett) Long; three great-grandchildren, Bailey, Memphis and Emerson; one brother, Don (Betty Tyson) Bailey and nephew, Kevin Bailey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, and parents, Willard and Mildred Bailey.
