David L. Dunnam, 61, of Belmont, died on Monday July 1, 2019 at Southwest Health Center, Platteville, of natural causes. Memorial services will be at 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2019 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the David L. Dunnam Memorial Fund. Online condolences can be made at www.melbyfh.com.

David was born on March 12, 1958 in Platteville, Wisconsin, son of Earl and Patricia (Henry) Dunnam. He was united in marriage to Niana Kopp on April 11, 1975 in Lancaster, Missouri. Dave owned Photographs & Memories in Belmont since 1991. He loved photography and spending time talking with his fellow professionals on Facebook. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, camping, and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Niana, two sons, Curt (Nicki) Dunnam and Jeremy (Amy Mitchell) Dunnam; two grandsons, Ian and Max; sisters, Sheila Dunnam and Chris Harris and brother, William (Brenda) Harris and his baby girl shihpoo, Angel. He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Harris, father, Earl Dunnam, sisters, Catherine Dunnam and Theresa “Terry” Bartels-Harris and father and mother-in-law, Carl and Marilyn Kopp.

I am so very sorry to hear of Dave's passing. We look at his fabulous photographs of our family everyday. He helped us preserve our family for over 10 years with family pictures. RIP Dave!!

Thoughts, prayers and deepest sympathies to his family and friends. David did the photography for my daughters wedding September of 2017 and he was amazing! He was so much fun on their wedding day, took his time, offered suggestions for photos and took fantastic photos. He created memories we will be able to have and share for years to come. Thank you for helping make our day so much more special!

Oh it just breaks my heart to see such a good man leave this earth entirely too soon. It has been many years since I have seen Dave and Niana... But once a good man, always a good man. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
