Lynn D. Taival, 75, of Dickeyville, Wisconsin, died on February 13, 2020. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 22, 2020 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Friends may call from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Edenbrook, Platteville or St. Croix Hospice, Platteville. Lynn was born on December 23, 1944 in Duluth, Minnesota, daughter of John and Ruth (Crothers) Johnson. She was united in marriage to Duane Taival on July 3, 1965 at Kenwood Lutheran Church, Duluth. Lynn for many years was a secretary for the Platteville Community School District, working at many of the schools. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and cooking. One of her greatest pleasures, though, was relaxing on her porch swing.
She is survived by her husband, Duane “Dewey” Taival, sons, Jesse and Andrew; five sisters, Nancy (Ken) Miller, Karen (Ron) Bartlett, Cheryl (Charles) Burbul, Susan (Tom) Brusch and Becky Bradburn; one brother, John (June) Johnson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Virginia.
