Obituary
Beverley Arlene (Johns) Steinbach, our loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister, and Aunt, passed into eternal life on Wednesday, April 1, 2020, after a battle with dementia. In light of the CoronaVirus, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Private family services will be held. Burial will be at Lima Union Cemetery. The Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville is serving the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Beverley A. She was born in Platteville on May 28, 1938 to Donald and Nell (Hitchcock) Johns. She grew up in the Arthur – Rewey area and graduated from Platteville High School in 1956. She married Arnold Steinbach on August 25, 1956. They lived on the farm until 1992 when they moved to Arthur. Outside the farm, she worked for many years at Charles Industries in Lancaster and at Pete's Feed Service. Bev was involved with 4-H and was a superintendent at the Grant County Fair. After she retired, she worked part-time at Lands' End.
She also enjoyed traveling, especially to Florida to visit family. Most of all, she treasured spending time with her family and friends. She cherished babysitting the grandchildren and attending their sporting events.
Beverley is survived by her husband, Arnold of 63 years and 5 children: Dan (Rita), Lori (Greg) Sass, Donald (Pat), Lisa (Brian) Olson, and David (Vicki). She is furthered survived by 16 grandchildren: Jennifer, Nicole, Matthew, Adam, Megan, Ryan, Anthony, Joshua, Tyler, Emily, Jason, Stephanie, Jackie, Morgan, Madilyn, and Katie; and twelve great-grandchildren: Colin, Payton, Ellison, Hayden, Allison, Abby, Carter, Christopher, Caden, Nolan, Reagan, and Blake. She is also survived by her sisters Janet (Jim) Reinertson, Becky (Jerry) Cherney, and several nieces & nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Spencer Olson, her brother, Donald, and her special niece, Robin Cherney.
