I remember moving to Platteville my sophomore year in High School and Shawn being such a nice person welcoming me. He was always smiling and kind. Hugs and thought are with you. Ellen

I am heartbroken to see this news. Shawn was my first boyfriend / first kiss from a boy. I remember taking his little sister to Happy Joes for a date. He was a sweet, sweet guy. We dated for only a short time our Freshman year, but remained friends throughout high school. I just can not say enough about what a kind young man he was. We did not stay in touch very well after high school. But, I am sure he was a fine man, father, brother, son. I am attaching the note from him in my 1985 yearbook. I am so sorry for your loss. Jenny

I'm so sorry to hear of Shawn's passing. He was a kind and gentle soul. I remember our days playing baseball together at PCHS. He was always positive and upbeat. A great teammate. Take care and I only wish peace for all. Pete
