Obituary
Taylor S. White, 31, of Platteville, Wisconsin, died on August 25, 2020, from the result of a swimming accident on the Mississippi River. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Rev. Robin Luckey will officiate. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Taylor S. White Memorial Fund. Online condolences can be made at www.melbyfh.com.

Taylor, or as many have known him as “T” or “Whitey”, was born on February 10, 1989 in Sierra Vista, Arizona, son of Russ and Michelle (Custer) White. Taylor graduated from Platteville High School, class of 2007 where he played football and baseball. After high school he attended Highland Community College, Freeport, Illinois, where he continued his passion for the game of baseball. His love of sports continued after his formal education as he was a volunteer coach for both football and baseball. He worked at Piggly Wiggly in the meat department as a butcher. He was a die hard Bears and Cubs fan. Taylor enjoyed boating and golfing, but truly loved to spend time with his son, Bronson, and family and friends.
Taylor is survived by his parents, Russ and Michelle White; son, Bronson and his mother, Amanda Fitzgerald; brother, Desmond and his wife, Olivia Alexander and their family, Braelyn, Alyana, Aliyah, Dezmond, and Darion; grandparents, Donna and Delbert Pluemer and Gary Custer; aunts and uncles, Rich & Bonnie White, Randy & Cindy White, Cherry White, Bart & Kara White, Vicki & Scott Deckard, Michael & Cathy Custer, Doug & Deb Custer, Bill (Jolene Houy) Custer and Tami (Matt Bearjar) Custer; and many cousins. Taylor was preceded in death by his grandmother, Velda Custer, grandfather, Dale White, uncle, Rod White and cousin, Kasey Custer.
