Marvin Shipley

I always enjoyed dealing with Marv while he was at SWEA, such a fun, caring person. My deepest sympathies

My condolences to the family and friends of Marvin Shipley. I had the honor of working with Marvin through the Wisconsin Education Association Council for nearly twenty years. Marvin was dedicated to his role as an advocate for union educators here in Wisconsin, but also in Illinois and South Dakota. Whenever Marvin was called on to help with advocacy training, he willing provide his expertise. He will be missed by his family, friends and colleagues. Marv was one of my favorite people. He introduced me to Downton Abbey and I enjoyed discussing it with him. So sorry to hear of his passing! My deepest sympathy.

I will always remember Marvin's sense of humor and contagious booming laugh. I will also remember his kind generosity and how he welcomed everyone and made them feel at home. And of course how much he loved Christmas and Christmas music.

Marvin was a fun loving guy with a big laugh that matched his personality. He will be missed. Sorry for your loss.
