The passing of Sharon will leave a void in not only family and friends but the community as well. She was a strong and wonderful person. Admiration and fond memories is how I will remember Sharon.

I read with great sadness the recent passing of Sharon due to Alzheimer's, the disease which requires loving caregiving and diligence for both patient and caregivers...the Stanton family is a Platteville mainstay--her father was on School Board with my late mom, Zelma, and Wilma a P.E.O. sister to both of us in Chapter BN. Sharon and I were not in same PHS class but I kept in touch with some classmates and knew of her struggles with Alzheimer's as I caregave my mom 17 years with this horrid affliction. I wanted to thank Sharon for her always waving at and greeting me when I'd come to UWP for the Pioneer men's hoops games...it meant so much to me! The family was so active in everything they undertook and added so much to the community. Please know my deep sympathy and prayers are with all family and friends at this time. God Bless and with Respect, Carolyn Schuldt, Class of 1960

I am so sorry to hear of Sharon's passing. I have known Sharon basically all my life. I (Connie) grew up in the Cornelia area. We went to 4-H together and church together. Sharon always had a smile on her face and a great attitude. Everyone who knew her will miss her. My family extends it's deepest sympathy to the family.
