Karen and family, I was deeply saddened to learn of Dale's passing. Please accept my deepest sympathies. As my first flight instructor, Dale gave me my first ride at Nodorft Aviation in the summer of '79 in your Piper Cherokee (N685FL). After that I was hooked and went on to get my Private Pilot's license less than a year later in Florida. Dale was a real gentleman and fine pilot who encouraged me to continue to reach for the sky. I learned my piloting skills from "the best" and I'll always be grateful for his inspiration and confidence. During this difficult time, please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dale was my flight instructor at Platteville Airport in 1971 when I was 17 years old. When I think of Dale, the word integrity comes to mind. Very honest God fearing man. He was a fantastic instructor and made his students work hard and become safe pilots. He also taught my Dad, Arnie Busch how to fly in the mid 70's. It was a plesure to know him

Dale and his family were neighbors as we were growing up. They were a fun and special family and we spent lots of times together. I recall those fun times and am glad that our paths crossed. I enjoyed airplane rides with him and other friends. So sorry for your loss.

I was so sorry to hear of Dale’s passing. Back in 1977, between a semester of student teaching and starting a teaching career the next fall, I took Dale’s ground school class. My dad, Harold Turner, gave me most of my flying instruction, but I spent many hours in the Platteville airport around the Nodorft family on the days that I rode back and forth with my dad to work. I appreciated very much Dale’s enthusiasm for flying and the love and devotion that he showed his family. He was a great teacher and mentor for us all and I’m sure he will be greatly missed. I send my deepest condolences to Karen and the kids.
