Nancy J. Williams, age 84 of Lancaster, Wisconsin, formerly of Livingston and Platteville, passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2021. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Pastor Mary Ann Floerke will officiate. Burial will be at Rock Church Cemetery, rural Livingston. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. She was born on July 14, 1936 in Darlington, the daughter of Ellsworth and Kathryn (Williams) Shockley. Nancy moved to Livingston with her parents and siblings when she was a junior in high school. She took pride in attending class reunions of both Darlington and Livingston High Schools. She worked for many years at Montgomery Ward and Spurgeon's in Platteville. Nancy was known for her love of bingo, garage sales, and crafting (crocheting, sewing, quilting, cross stitch). She was married to Boyd Williams.
Nancy is survived by her three children – Jannice (John) Flanagan of Oregon, WI; David (Joann) Williams of Livingston, WI; and Karen Williams of Oregon; five grandchildren, Ryan Flanagan; Travis (Ashley) Williams; Justin Williams; Kyle (Amanda) Flanagan; and Tyler (Alyssa) Flanagan; seven great-grandchildren, Gracie Flanagan; Colton and Quinn Williams; Caiden and Mia Flanagan; Henry and Nolan Flanagan; and a step great-granddaughter, Josephine Bakken. She is further survived by a sister, Naomi Kingery of Livingston; brothers Dick (Sue) Shockley of Platteville; Ed Shockley of Durand, IL; and Jerry Shockley of Dodgeville; brothers-in-law Charlie (Lynn) Scullion of Highland, and Ron Franklin of Prairie du Chien; and three generations of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Ellsworth and Kathryn Shockley; sisters, Helen Scullion and Connie Franklin; brother-in-law, Roger (Punk) Kingery; sisters-in-law, Gladys Shockley and Penny Shockley; and nephew, Christopher Scullion.
The family would like to thank the staff at Orchard Manor who cared for Nancy over the past several years and Grant Regional Health Center in her final days.
