Joey was born on March 5, 1942 to Elsie (Minton) and John McHugh in Oshkosh, WI. After graduating from Omro High School in 1960, Joey married classmate William “Bill” Stiller in 1961 and raised three children, but later divorced.

After high school, Joey was employed by the Oshkosh Northwestern and State Farm Insurance, but she was best known for working at Fink's Fine Food in Omro alongside her best friend, Susie Fink. She enjoyed her life as a snowbird, wintering in Leesburg, Florida for many years. Joey loved all animals, but especially her cats. Her beloved cat, Buddy, traveled with her and lived for an amazing 26 years. She will be remembered as a loving mother, an excellent cook, and the life of the party.

Joey is survived by her children, Stephanie (Dennis) Cooley of Platteville, Steve (Jennifer Stone) Stiller of Niagara, and Shannon (Johnathon) Schultz of Portage. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Taylor (Tyrell) Rosemeyer, Logan (Ally) Cooley, Will (April) Cooley, Tiffany (Mark) Bingheim, Ramon (friend Rachel) Stiller, Savanna (Devin) Baker, and Clare Fiss. Joey also has two great-grandsons, with another expected in July. Joey is further survived by her siblings, Marlena Blochwitz, Bonnie Gauvin, Maxine (Kenneth) Macheel, and Michael McHugh. Joey also has many cherished nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Joey was preceded in death by her parents: Elsie Stapleton and John McHugh, brother and sister-in-law John and Margaret McHugh, and brother-in-law Wallace Blochwitz.
