One of my favorite memories is when Dennis fixed up an old bike. He painted it bright red and wanted to give me a ride. I was seated on the back fender and up and down the driveway we went. My shoe got caught in the spokes and we wreaked. Dennis saw my showing the spokes and it looked like my leg was broken. Dennis was saying oh no I broke your leg. I broke your leg. Well my leg was not broken my shoe just came half way off and was twisted around. We laughed and laughed when he realized what happened.

So sad to hear of Dennis's passing. What a pleasant man and such fun to know. Richard and I spent many a night dancing with Shirley and Dennis along with others and sure had fun times at our house playing cards. Recently it was fun to see and visit with him at the pasty suppers at the church on Monroe Street. Ron I know you will miss all the fun times you had together, but may you have wonderful memories of all of them to keep in your heart forever.

Carl (Flipper) was a wonderful uncle and got his name (Flipper) from me from turning the trump card up when he played euchre. He became our family when he married my aunt Dorothy and we honored to him as family. We always laughed together and had fun enjoying Carl's company. He loved his family and friends, When Carl became a part of our family and my son who was in high school at the time said " I like that guy". That was Carl he had a heart that drew everyone to him. We were all enriched to have Carl in our lives. He will be greatly missed. My love and blessings to family and friends. Mark and Joyce Meininger

Uncle Dennis (Karl) was my favorite uncle. I have many fond memories of him that bring me comfort. He was in my life from the time I was very young. At Christmas, he always made sure my sister Joanne and I each had a great present under the tree. I remember, like it was yesterday, when my sister and I opened our presents from him and jumped up and down with joy. He had bought us ice skates! WOW! When he lived with grandma & grandpa I remember the little black and white TV in his room and my sister and I thought that was so awesome! TV - WOW! Uncle Dennis was a gentle man, always kind and so dear to us. He has seen the face of God! Love you Uncle Dennis, we will miss you!........Sharon (and my sister Joanne too) xoxo
