Dorothy Ann Marie (Buch) Schambow, 94, of Livingston, Wisconsin, formerly of Rewey died on December 13, 2021 at Edenbrook of Platteville, Wisconsin. Private family services will be April 30, 2022 at the Rewey Methodist Church. Pastor Clark Grosvenor will officiate. Burial will be at Bryn Zion Cemetery rural Rewey. A Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends at the Belmont Convention Center from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville, is serving the family. Dorothy was born on April 27, 1927 in Elk Grove Township, Lafayette County, Wisconsin. The daughter of Harrison James and Clara Anna (Reisen) Sheldon. She was united in marriage to Melvin John Buch on April 30, 1946 in Galena, Illinois. Together they had 10 children Penny (Ivan) Friedrich, Patricia Bellmeyer, Jean Spease, Frances (Jerry) Edwards, Connie (Charles) Vedvik, Diane (Clyde) Jackson, David (Tracie) Buch, Douglas (Barbara) Buch, Jeffrey (Fiancee Carol) Buch and Michael (Jeannine) Buch.
Dorothy attended Platteville High School. She was a homemaker, an aid at Rewey Grade School, food service at O.E. Gray Elementary School in Platteville for 9 years and a caregiver. She enjoyed gardening, baking, cooking and taking care of her numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She is survived by her 8 children, a sister Ruth Dull, Sister-in-law Neta Sheldon of Platteville, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband Melvin, daughters Diane and Jean, grandson Brad Bellmeyer, great grandson Joseph Klein, sister Ethleen Sheldon, brothers Harry, Donald, Kenneth and Anson Sheldon.
The family expresses a heartfelt thanks to all the staff and nurses of Edenbrook. We also thank Dr. Bearse for all of her kind care for Mom.
