Vienna M. Wackershauser, 59, of Platteville, Wisconsin, died on Thursday, June 4, 2021. A service to celebrate her life will be held at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Pastor Mary Ann Floerke will officiate. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Cuba City. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Vienna was born on October 9, 1961 in Hazel Green, Wisconsin, daughter of Larry and Nancy (Seemeyer) Fidler. She was united in marriage to Thomas Wackershauser on November 3, 1979 at the Platteville United Methodist Church. Vienna graduated from Platteville High School, Class of 1980, and attended SWTC, Fennimore, where she became a certified CNA. She worked at Orchard Manor, Lancaster, Land's End, Dodgeville and at the Lyght House, rural Platteville until she retired. She enjoyed watching the Packers, Brewers, and following NASCAR. She was an avid reader, enjoyed sewing, doing puzzles and flamingos.
Vienna is survived by her husband, Tom; two children, Sarah Wackershauser and Tommy (Brittany) Wackershauser; grandson, Maverick Wackershauser; sisters, Karla Fidler and Cheryl Jamieson; father-in-law, Henry “Joe” (Barb) Wackershauser; brother-in-law, Dave (Lorraine) Wackershauser; sister-in-law, Marcia (Bruce) Kyes; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; great nieces and nephews; and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Timothy Fidler and grandma, Millie Faith, and grandfahers Nathan Seemeyer and Donovan Faith.
