Timothy Andrew Goodney, 60, of Platteville, Wisconsin, died on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM, Friday, March 8, 2024 at the Platteville Free Methodist Church, Platteville. Rev. Jeff Suits will officiate. Burial will be at Harrison Cemetery, rural Platteville. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until the time of the service at the church. The Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville, is serving the family. Online condolences can be made at www.melbyfh.com.

Tim was born on June 2, 1963 in Kingston, New York, son of Thomas and Carol (Young) Goodney. Tim graduated from Southwest Tech, Fennimore, in mechanics and worked at Advance Tranformer, Platteville, in maintenance. He enjoyed motorcycles, hunting and fishing.

Tim is survived by his two children, AJ (Jocelyn) Goodney and Sarah Goodney; two grandchildren, Lydia and Wade; his parents, Tom and Lea Goodney; two brothers, Christopher (Christine) Goodney and Jon (Teresa) Goodney; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol.
