Obituary

Susan E. Luciani-Leigh, 64, of Rewey, Wisconsin, died on Wednesday, November 20, 2024.  Funeral services will be at Noon, Monday, November 25, 2024, at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville.  Pastor Mary Ann Floerke will officiate.  Burial will be at the Rewey Dietzman Cemetery, rural Rewey, Wisconsin.  Visitation for Sue will be from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to the Susan E. Sue was born on September 11, 1960, in Platteville, Wisconsin, daughter of Paul and Lois (Harris) Luciani.  Sue graduated from Iowa Grant High School class of 1979.  She went to work at Land's End where she worked for 38 years until she retired.  Sue was united in marriage to Paul Leigh on August 22, 1987, at the United Methodist Church, Mineral Point, Wisconsin.  Sue was quick-witted and had a fun personality, where she was always up to having fun and pulling pranks.  She enjoyed gardening, fishing and going on her daily walks with her friends.  Sue especially loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Sue is survived by her husband, Paul Leigh; son, Zach (Dana) Leigh; daughter, Jennifer (Derek) Klang; three grandsons, Collin Klang, Henry Leigh, and Hudson Klang; sisters, Laurie (Richard) Graney, Peg (Dan) Smith, and Marsha (Scott) Daubert; brothers and sisters-in-law, Donnie (Donna) Leigh, Raymond (Carol) Leigh, Shirley LaDow, Donna (Ron) Hughes, Linda (Brent Wells) McLaughlin, John (Cathy) Leigh and Robert (Amy) Leigh; many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.   Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Lois Luciani, brothers, Dennis, in infancy, and Paul, Jr., nephew, Adam Smith, niece, Dawn Frye, father and mother-in-law, Delzie and Virginia Leigh, brothers-in-law, Jim Leigh and Jerry McLaughlin and sister-in-law, Nancy Bonjour. 

The family extends a special thank you to DOVE Healthcare in Fennimore and St. Croix Hospice for all their care and compassion shown to Mom and our family.

I had so much fun with Sue while we were in high school! She was always so funny and sweet. I am so sad that we never really connected after high school, although we were both still local to the community. She was beautiful inside and out! My sincere condolences to her family and friends.
