Stanley D. “Stan” Henry, 83, of Ellenboro, Wisconsin, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Crossroads Supper Club, Arthur from Noon – 4:00 PM. Burial will be at Lima Union Cemetery, rural Platteville, at a later date. Stanley “Stan” was born on October 27, 1940 in Grant County, Wisconsin, son of Clarence and Rethel (Pritchett) Henry. He was united in marriage to Judy Nihles on February 16, 1963 at St. Clement's Catholic Church, Lancaster. Stan was a lifelong farmer in Ellenboro, where he was fond of John Deere, Farmall and antique farm equipment. While farming he also worked off the farm at Advance Transformer, Bloomington Sales Barn and later for Stitzer and Fennimore Recycling. He enjoyed collecting antiques, gardening and following his grandchildren in all of their activities.
Stan is survived by his wife of 61 years, Judy; son, Wayne (Angel) Henry; six grandchildren, Steve (Crystal) Beighley, Derek (Kyi) Millin, Ashley Henry, Anthony “Tony” Henry, Adam (Tiffany) Henry and Arranda (Jacob) Ruchti two great-grandchildren, Melanie and Braelin Beighley; one sister, Delores (Joe) Faherty; one brother, Roger (Nora) Henry; brother-in-law, Merlin Nihles and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Edith Riechers, Phyllis Curkeet and Della Schaal, brothers, Edward, Harold, Wilbur, Marvin, Larry, Roland and Kenneth.
