Obituary

Ronda Sue Anderson, 55, of Dubuque, Iowa, formerly of Platteville, Wisconsin, died on Friday, April 26, 2024, from an accident at her home. Ronda was born on June 26, 1968, in Cuba City, Wisconsin, to Marshall “Bud” and Bernetta (Bloom) Anderson.

Ronda graduated from Platteville High School, class of “86”, where she proudly played basketball and softball. After high school she attended UW-Platteville and later MATC, where she received her associate's degree in Police Science. She had various jobs in loss prevention before her time at John Deere, Dubuque Works, where she has worked the last 15+ years.  Ronda enjoyed being on the river with her posse boating, fishing and toasting, and proudly cruised around in her red Wisconsin Badger Jeep. Ronda was a diehard Badger and Packer fan.  She also enjoyed gardening and canning what she grew.

Ronda is survived by her father, Marshall; siblings: Arnold (Linda) Anderson, Laurie (Duane) Schuler, Maxine (Craig) Olson, Diane (Todd) Jenkins, and Gary Anderson; many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Ronda was fiercely loyal to her close circle of friends who generously offered their love and support. She was preceded in death by her mother, Bernetta, whom she adored, infant brother, Gregory, and her beloved German Shepherd Tiki.

Memorial services celebrating her life will be at 4:00 PM, Sunday, May 5, 2024, at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Pastor Mary Ann Floerke will celebrate. Burial will be at St. Paul's Catholic Cemetery, Mineral Point, Wisconsin, at a later date. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. In honoring Ronda, the family asks everyone to wear Badger, Packer or favorite team apparel. Online condolences can be made at www.melbyfh.com.
