Obituary

Roger W. Timmerman, 60, of Platteville, Wisconsin, died on Saturday, June 4, 2022 from lung cancer. A public visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 PM, Friday, June 10, 2022 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Private family graveside services will be held at Hillside Cemetery, Platteville. Online condolences can be made at www.melbyfh.com

Roger was born on June 2, 1960 in Cuba City, Wisconsin, son of James and Joan (Schroeder) Timmerman. He attended Cuba City High School and served in the United States Army. Roger was a cheese maker at Lactalis, Belmont, Wisconsin for many years. Roger took great pride in his work. He enjoyed going for rides around the countryside and was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan.

Roger is survived by his special friend, Lori Leifker; two sons, Shawn and Dallas Timmerman; three sisters, Jackie (Earl) Hale, MaryJo (Bruce) Droessler, and Betty Timmerman-Burkholder; six brothers, Jim (Docha) Timmerman, Darrel (Janet) Timmerman, Mike (Paula) Timmerman, Randy (Pam) Timmerman and Nick (Jennifer) Timmerman and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Gerald “Al” Timmerman.

I was very surprised to hear of Roger's passing. It's been a few years since we've gotten together but we sure had some fun times when I lived in Platteville. From sitting in a little shed watching Packer games, to just hanging out talking. I'll miss you my friend. Fly high.
