Jerry was born on August 28, 1962, in Dodgeville, WI. The second son of Jack and Janis (Johnson) Amenda.  He graduated from Belmont High School with the class of 1980.  Jerry, affectionately known as Rat, owned and operated The Sport's Page Bar and Supper Club in Belmont, WI.  In January 2025, he and his dedicated team celebrated 30 successful years of operation.  As the name states, it was named The Sport's Page due to his love of all sports.  When you entered the bar, there were always multiple games on all of the TVs and he was interested in every one of them!  He enjoyed spending many hours watching the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, Wisconsin Badgers and Chicago Blackhawks.  Rat was an avid supporter of all Belmont High School sports. He especially had a passion for wrestling.  In addition, Rat enjoyed time with his family and friends, golfing and telling stories over a Busch Lite.  His passion for meeting people, making them feel comfortable and welcome, and always remembering their name was a truly special gift.  He will be missed by all.

Jerry is survived by a son Josh Olson, Madison, WI, two brothers, Jay Amenda and Jeff (Colleen) Amenda, both of Belmont, and one sister, Jill (Bill) Brownridge, of Seminole Pinellas, Florida.  He is further survived by his aunts, Carol Grunow, Madison, WI and Mary June Frontz, Belmont, WI, two uncles, Kenny and Norman Johnson, Mineral Point, WI and many nieces and nephews, cousins, great nieces and nephews, and dear family and friends.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Jack Amenda, mother, Janis (Johnson) Amenda, nephew, CJ Tarr, and his grandparents, Fred and LaVera Johnson and John and Irmgarde Amenda.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to either the Belmont Remarkable Guardian Angels or the Belmont Sports Boosters.

You were such a dear friend when I lived in Belmont. Although I had not seen you in awhile, I've thought of you often and with fond memories. I've been trying to get to Belmont to say "hi". I'm sorry I didn't get there to see you one last time, my old friend. Scheila

Rat you were a truly good man. We grew up and spent all 12 years in school together in the class of 1980. Joining Mary Jane and I at the 1999 Rose Bowl game in Pasadena will always be a memory. RIP my friend you will be missed!

Thank you for being such a good cousin. Trips to Belmont won't be the same without stopping at the Sports Page and seeing you behind the bar. Love, Debbie and Randy
